What the EtherFamily website stores and processes about you. A draft.

Draft pending legal review

This draft has not been reviewed by a lawyer and is not in effect. It describes what the current development build of the website does. It does not claim that EtherFamily, or anyone's use of it, complies with any law or regulation. Parts marked “to be determined” depend on decisions that have not been made.

Draft of 2026-09-30 (UTC).

Who is responsible

To be determined: the legal entity responsible for the website and its data.

What the website does not do

  • There are no accounts and no sign-up. The website never asks for your name or email.
  • There is no analytics, advertising or tracking code, and the website sets no cookies.
  • Fonts and images are served by the website itself: loading a page does not contact Google or any other third party.
  • The website never has access to your wallet's private keys.

What your browser stores

Your browser keeps a few values in its local storage, on your device only:

  • ef-theme: your choice of light or dark theme, if you made one.
  • Keys starting with wagmi.: which wallet you connected with, the connected addresses and the network, so the website can reconnect when you return.

Nothing of this is sent to EtherFamily. Disconnecting your wallet removes the stored addresses; clearing the site's data in your browser removes everything.

What reaches EtherFamily's server

  • Page requests. Like any website, the server receives your IP address, browser type and the page you ask for. EtherFamily's code does not store them. The hosting provider may keep request logs: To be determined: the hosting provider and its retention period.
  • Reading the chain. To show balances and prepare transactions, your browser sends Ethereum read requests (for example, the balance of your connected address) to this website's server, which forwards them to an Ethereum RPC provider. The provider sees the requests coming from EtherFamily's server, not from your IP address. The server does not store them; when a request fails it logs the method names and the kind of error, never the request contents. Your wallet sends the transactions you sign through its own connection. To be determined: the RPC provider.
  • If the website is configured with public fallback RPC endpoints, your browser can contact them directly when this website's server does not answer; they then see your IP address and those requests. None is configured on this website.
  • Status page. Its checks read public chain data and EtherFamily's own services; they involve no data about you.

Public blockchain data

Everything you do on Ethereum (your address, balances, trades, launches and claims) is public and permanent. Anyone can read it, and neither you nor EtherFamily can delete it. EtherFamily's indexer, once running, will process this public data, including addresses, to build market lists, charts and portfolios.

Other parties

Your wallet software, and the RPC provider it uses for your transactions, are other parties with their own privacy practices. WalletConnect is not enabled on this website. When the website runs inside a Safe wallet's interface, it talks to that interface in your browser.

Features that would change this notice

These planned features would process more data; this notice will say how before any of them is used:

  • Token metadata upload: images and texts a creator uploads are published on IPFS, where they are public and cannot be withdrawn; uploads would require signing in with your wallet and would be rate-limited by address and IP address.
  • The stock eligibility gate, pending the owner's and counsel's decision: the design proposes screening stock-quoted pages and routes by the location of your IP address, and a one-time confirmation per address before the first stock-quoted interaction, stored by EtherFamily. Stock quotes

Your rights and contact

To be determined: the rights that apply to you, how to exercise them and a contact address
