Terms of use

The terms for using the EtherFamily website. A draft.

Draft pending legal review

This draft has not been reviewed by a lawyer and is not in effect. It is written for the service as designed; today no EtherFamily contract is deployed. It does not claim that EtherFamily, or anyone's use of it, complies with any law or regulation. Parts marked “to be determined” depend on decisions that have not been made.

Draft of 2026-09-30 (UTC).

Who operates EtherFamily

To be determined: the legal entity that operates the website. Until it is designated, these terms name no counterparty and create no obligation.

What EtherFamily is

EtherFamily is a website, etherfamily.fun, and a set of smart contracts on Ethereum. Once the contracts are deployed, anyone can use them to create a token and trade it in a permanent Uniswap v4 market against one quote asset. The website is one interface to those contracts: it reads public chain data, prepares transactions for your wallet and explains the markets. The contracts do not depend on the website, and other interfaces can use them.

Today no EtherFamily contract is deployed, so the website offers no way to launch or trade a token. Status

No advice

No advice

EtherFamily does not provide investment, legal or tax advice and does not claim that using these markets is lawful where you are.

Nothing on the website is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any token. Using the website does not create an advisory, fiduciary or brokerage relationship.

Eligibility and your responsibilities

  • You are responsible for knowing and following the laws that apply to you, including on taxes.
  • Some quote assets carry their own restrictions. The issuer of the tokenized stocks prohibits certain persons from acquiring them, on secondary markets too; if you are one of them, you must not use stock-quoted markets. Stock quotes
  • To be determined: whether and how access to parts of the website is restricted by location. Any such restriction screens the website only: it cannot stop anyone from using the contracts directly.

Your wallet and your transactions

  • EtherFamily never holds your private keys and cannot sign for you. Every transaction is prepared by the website and signed by you in your own wallet.
  • Funds you send to a contract are governed by that contract's code. Confirmed transactions on Ethereum cannot be reversed, by you or by EtherFamily.
  • Before you sign, the website simulates the transaction and shows the disclosures that apply. Check what your wallet shows; if the two disagree, do not sign.

Fees

The creation fee and the trading fee of each market are set out in Fees and splits and shown before you confirm. Other parties charge their own fees: Uniswap governance's protocol fee where it applies, the pools of a conversion route, and the Ethereum network's gas.

Other parties

The markets depend on parties EtherFamily does not control: Uniswap, the issuers of the quote assets (such as Ondo Global Markets, Circle and Tether), the perp venue (Synthetix), Chainlink, your wallet provider and RPC providers. Their own terms apply to your use of their products, and their actions can affect a market in ways EtherFamily cannot prevent. External powers

A perp vault's account at the venue would be governed by the venue's own terms, which let it suspend or close the account at its discretion, cap its liability and send disputes to arbitration. Share holders do not accept those terms themselves, but the terms affect what a vault share is worth. The venue's terms

Tokens and their content

Token names, symbols, images, descriptions and links are chosen by the tokens' creators. EtherFamily does not review or endorse them, and a name or symbol says nothing about who created a token. A token is identified by its address, its pool, its creator and the factory that created it.

Risks

Using EtherFamily's markets can lose you everything you put in. The risks are set out in the risk disclosures and the documentation, and each disclosure is shown where it affects a decision. EtherFamily's contracts have not been audited.

Use of the website

Do not use the website to break the law, to infringe others' rights, to impersonate anyone, or to interfere with the website, its infrastructure or other users.

Availability and changes

The website can change, show errors or be unavailable without notice. Contracts, once deployed, keep working without it. These terms can change; the version in effect and its date will be shown on this page.

Warranties and liability

To be determined: warranty disclaimers and limits of liability, with counsel

Governing law and disputes

To be determined: governing law, jurisdiction and dispute resolution

Contact

To be determined: a contact address for questions about these terms
