Disclosures

Risk disclosures

Every disclosure EtherFamily shows before a decision, in one place.

No advice

EtherFamily does not provide investment, legal or tax advice and does not claim that using these markets is lawful where you are.

The app shows each of the 37 texts below word for word, on the page where it affects a decision (the launch form, a token's page, the trade confirmation, the claims page or the portfolio) and before the button it concerns. Here no single market is in view, so values that differ between markets appear in general wording, underlined like this, or as a placeholder; a market's own pages fill them in from the chain.

In short

  • Nothing is deployed yet, and EtherFamily's contracts have not been audited. Status
  • You can lose everything you put in. Locked liquidity is not a price floor. The permanent lock
  • The asset a market trades against can be frozen or changed by its issuer, and the lock does not protect against that. Stock quotes
  • Perp shares rely on a venue whose operators control the collateral, and on valuations signed by attestors; perps are disabled. Perp vault shares
  • Bots can still buy first when a market opens. The opening window
  • USD values are marks, not prices you can trade at. Execution prices and USD marks
  • EtherFamily and outside parties keep some powers over markets. Admin powers, External powers

Permanent liquidity lockD-LOCK

The launch liquidity sits in one Uniswap v4 position that no one can withdraw: not the creator, not EtherFamily, not an upgrade. The lock covers only this canonical position. Other pools of this token, created by anyone else, are not EtherFamily markets and are not locked.

Shown on the token page header, the launch form and the docs and status pages. Evidence: test (design proven on Stockereum's equivalent; ours to be proven by I2).

Permanent launch choicesD-IRREVERSIBLE

These choices are permanent for this token: the paired asset, the fee tier and where the creator share goes (to you or to holders). No one can change them later.

Shown on the launch form. Evidence: design.

Trading feeD-FEES

Every trade in this market pays a fee tier fee in the quote asset, taken from what you send when buying and from what you receive when selling, whatever app or router you use: EtherFamily share to EtherFamily and creator or holder share to the creator or holders. Uniswap governance may add a protocol fee of up to 0.1% per trade direction; it is currently current protocol fee.

Shown on the trade confirmation, the token page header and the launch form. Evidence: test (mechanism), observed (protocol fee state).

Opening valueD-FDV

Opening value: effective opening value (nominal $4,000). Prices move in discrete ticks, so the real opening value differs from the nominal one by up to about 0.3%.

Shown on the launch form. Evidence: model.

Opening windowD-WINDOW

Trading opens at block release block. Until then only the creator's optional first buy, made inside the creation transaction, can trade. The delay does not stop bots: they can still buy first when trading opens.

Shown on the launch form, the token page header and the trade confirmation. Evidence: model + test.

Creator's first buyD-DEVBUY

The creator's first buy pays the normal fee, but the creator/holder part of that fee comes back: to the creator as fee recipient, or, when fees go to holders, to whoever holds the first buy's tokens, the only tokens that earn when trading opens. Its net cost is the EtherFamily part only.

Shown on the launch form and the token page header. Evidence: model.

Selling unavailable at the opening priceD-SELL-EDGE

Selling is unavailable right now: the pool holds none of the quote asset until someone buys.

Shown on the trade confirmation. Evidence: test (mechanism).

USD marksD-USD-MARK

USD values are marks: the pool price times the current USD price of the quote asset. They can change without any trade and are not the price you would get. Your executable price is shown in the trade preview.

Shown on the token page header, the portfolio and the trade confirmation. Evidence: design.

Conversion routeD-ROUTE

This trade goes through route, hop by hop. Route availability and depth change from block to block. If no route is available you can still trade directly in the quote asset. You receive at least minimum output or the trade reverts.

Shown on the trade confirmation. Evidence: test (routes), design (policy).

Price far from the referenceD-REFERENCE

This route prices the quote asset deviation away from an independent reference (reference source). Confirm to continue.

Shown on the trade confirmation. Evidence: design.

Token identityD-IDENTITY

Names and symbols are not unique. This token is identified by its address token address, its pool pool id and its creator creator address.

Shown on the token page header. Evidence: observed (duplicate names exist on Stockereum).

Who can change this marketD-GOV

EtherFamily can change settings for future launches through a 48-hour timelock, plus a guardian that can pause new launches. Through the same timelock it can also change which instant-exit buffer (perp shares) or issuer-screening adapter (stocks) EtherFamily's router uses for this market; that never moves funds or changes amounts. It cannot change this market's price, fee, split, fee recipient or locked position. Outside parties can still affect it: the issuer of the quote asset, Uniswap governance and price-feed operators. For perp-share markets EtherFamily also administers the vault behind the quote asset: see below.

Shown on the docs and status pages and a link from the token page header. Evidence: design.

No adviceD-NO-ADVICE

EtherFamily does not provide investment, legal or tax advice and does not claim that using these markets is lawful where you are.

Shown on the docs and status pages and the stock eligibility gate. Evidence: design.

Holder-rewards markets

Holder rewardsD-REWARDS

Holder rewards are paid in the quote asset. Tokens you buy or receive from the pool start earning from the first action in a later block, so you do not earn from your own buy. When you sell you keep everything earned while you held. If no one holds at least one whole token, rewards wait and go to the next holders who held across a block. A holder that borrows tokens from another contract for one transaction can take that lender's share for that transaction.

Shown on the token page header, the trade confirmation and the claims page. Evidence: model.

Reward concentrationD-CONCENTRATION

Rewards are shared by balance. The creator holds creator's share and the top 10 holders hold top 10 holders' share of the tokens that currently earn.

Shown on the token page header and the claims page. Evidence: design.

Contract accounts claim for themselvesD-CONTRACT-CLAIM

This address is a smart contract or delegated account. Rewards cannot be pushed to it; it has to claim for itself.

Shown on the claims page. Evidence: design.

Stock-quoted markets (Ondo Global Markets tokens)

A tokenized note, not a shareD-STOCK-NATURE

The stock token is a tokenized note issued by Ondo Global Markets (BVI) Limited, not a share. It gives no shareholder rights and depends on the issuer. Its price tracks the total return of the underlying stock (dividends reinvested net of withholding), so it differs from the share price.

Shown on the token page header, the trade confirmation and the launch form. Evidence: vendor.

Issuer powersD-QUOTE-POWERS

The issuer can pause the stock token or block addresses at any time, and can change the token's code for all its stock tokens after a 2-hour delay. A pause or block can stop trading in this market and stop fee and reward claims. EtherFamily's permanent liquidity lock does not protect against that.

Shown on the token page header, the trade confirmation, the claims page and the launch form. Evidence: test + observed.

Market hoursD-STOCK-HOURS

This pool trades around the clock, but the issuer's own market (creation and redemption) keeps market hours and pauses for corporate actions. Outside those hours the pool price can drift from the stock.

Shown on the token page header and the trade confirmation. Evidence: vendor + hypothesis (weekend drift not measured).

No issuer redemption through EtherFamilyD-STOCK-REDEEM

EtherFamily cannot redeem the stock token with the issuer. Redemption requires the issuer's own onboarding. Your exits are selling in pools.

Shown on the token page header and the trade confirmation. Evidence: test.

Screening, not enforcementD-SCREENING

EtherFamily's router and fee payouts check the issuer's pause, blocklist and sanctions lists for this asset. This is a courtesy check, not enforcement: other apps can trade this pool.

Shown on the trade confirmation and the claims page. Evidence: design.

USD source of a stock tokenD-STOCK-USD

USD values for the stock token use USD source.note when the value is approximated from the share pricenote when no USD reference exists

Shown on the token page header and the portfolio. Evidence: observed.

Prohibited personsD-STOCK-ELIGIBILITY

The issuer prohibits certain persons from acquiring its tokens, including in secondary trading: among others, persons in or from the United States and Canada and sanctioned jurisdictions, with further restrictions in other regions. By continuing you confirm you are not a prohibited person. This confirmation is not a check by EtherFamily.

Shown on the stock eligibility gate. Evidence: vendor.

Perp-share-quoted markets

What a perp share isD-PERP-NATURE

A perp share is a share of an EtherFamily vault that holds a long or short BTC or ETH perpetual position targeting a fixed leverage on Synthetix, a hybrid venue: collateral is on Ethereum but matching, margin and liquidations happen off-chain. The share's value is an attested net asset value, not an on-chain proof.

Shown on the token page header, the trade confirmation and the launch form. Evidence: vendor + observed.

Not a hedgeD-PERP-HEDGE

Holding this token is not a hedge. The share's direction changes this token's USD value, but pool prices depend on trading.

Shown on the token page header and the trade confirmation. Evidence: design.

No claim on the pool's assetsD-PERP-NO-REDEMPTION

Holding this token gives no right to a share of the pool's assets. Its price is set by trading in the pool, with slippage.

Shown on the token page header and the trade confirmation. Evidence: design.

Constant leverageD-PERP-LEVERAGE

Constant leverage loses value in choppy markets (volatility decay), pays or receives funding every hour, and can still be liquidated in a fast move. Rebalancing does not prevent liquidation.

Shown on the token page header, the trade confirmation and the launch form. Evidence: vendor + design.

Venue custodyD-PERP-CUSTODY

Collateral is held by the venue's deposit contract, which the venue's operators can pause, upgrade or pay out without a timelock, and whose withdrawals have been paused for up to 15 days at a time. The venue's terms let it suspend accounts at its discretion and say that assets may then be lost. Exits can be delayed.

Shown on the token page header, the trade confirmation and the launch form. Evidence: observed + test + vendor.

Exits from a perp shareD-PERP-EXIT

Selling this token gives you perp vault shares. Turning shares into USDT is instant only through the vault's buffer, when one is enabled and has capacity, at a live price minus a spread of about buffer spread. Otherwise you request a redemption: it settles at the next epoch's report and is paid once the venue has returned the collateral, which the venue can pause or dispute. While the vault is active an emergency exit is always available, but it pays only your share of the USDT the vault holds on-chain and gives up the rest.

Shown on the trade confirmation and the portfolio. Evidence: design.

Vault administrationD-PERP-ADMIN

EtherFamily administers the vault behind the perp share through a 48-hour timelock: it can change the vault's bounded parameters, its operator and venue managers and, with 7 more days, its attestors, and it can wind the vault down after at least 7 days' notice. A guardian can pause deposits, and can halt redemption processing, the instant buffer and new venue deposits for up to 72 hours once a week. None of them can send the vault's on-chain USDT anywhere except into its own venue account, or stop redemption requests, claims or the emergency exit. These powers change what the perp share is worth and what it tracks, although this market itself cannot be changed.

Shown on the token page header, the trade confirmation, the launch form and the docs and status pages. Evidence: design.

How the share is valuedD-PERP-NAV-TRUST

A perp share's value comes from reports signed by attestor count attestors, independent count of them independent of EtherFamily, checked on-chain against Chainlink prices and the venue's on-chain records. Without every attestor's signature, reports can overstate it by at most drift bound in total until all attestors sign again; if every attestor colludes there is no limit. Last report: report age ago.

Shown on the token page header, the trade confirmation and the launch form. Evidence: design + model.

Costs of the exposureD-PERP-COSTS

At recent rates (as of date of the rates) holding this exposure costs about funding rate a year in funding (negative: the vault receives it) and rebalancing drag in rebalancing drag of the vault's value; neither goes to EtherFamily. Deposits and redemptions settle once per epoch and pay a swing of up to maximum swing for the trading their net flow causes; on small net outflows part of the venue's fixed withdrawal fee is paid by the vault.

Shown on the token page header, the launch form and the portfolio. Evidence: vendor (rates) + design.

Wind-downD-PERP-WIND-DOWN

This vault wind-down time or reason. From then on the perp share no longer tracks a leveraged position: it is a claim on the USDT the vault recovers. Any holder of shares, including shares later bought out of this pool, can redeem them at any time for their part of what has been recovered so far, and receives later recoveries as well.

Shown on the token page header, the trade confirmation and the portfolio. Evidence: design.

USDT accountingD-USDT

The vault accounts in USDT. USD values assume USDT's market price from Chainlink; a USDT depeg changes them.

Shown on the token page header and the portfolio. Evidence: observed.

Perps are disabledD-PERP-DISABLED

Perp markets are disabled until a live proof of trading and withdrawal on the venue passes.

Shown on the launch form and the docs and status pages. Evidence: design (blocker).

Claims and portfolio

ClaimsD-CLAIM

Claims pay amount the quote asset from EtherFamily's fee escrow straight to recipient address. If the issuer blocks this address or pauses the quote asset, the claim fails and your balance stays claimable.

Shown on the claims page. Evidence: design + test (issuer behaviour).

Portfolio valuesD-PORTFOLIO-VALUE

Portfolio values are USD marks as of block block (age ago). Some assets have no USD source and are shown in their own units.

Shown on the portfolio. Evidence: design.
